Images.
There is obviously only 1 photographed imaged for this advert and that is a large promotional photograph of Bring Me The Horizon. Most promotional images are pretty much the same as far as lighting and things. There is 1 large light box that will be shining down from above the band and everything else around them is dark.
Text
The text on the advert is very prominent. Obviously Bring Me, as the headlining band have a huge logo posted right at the top. Underneath in capital letters there is the tour name and it shows that it is a UK tour. With very special guests is written small and you then have the logos for the bands The Secret Handshake and Deez Nuts. The 3 bands underneath them are very small as they will most likely be barely known by the fans.
Relationship.
The relationship between the text and the image is very important. If it doesn't seem visually appealing to people they will not read what the ad is about and just skip it in a magazine. The way the text just about reaches the top of Oli's head but isn't too low down on the band works. This is also better than having smaller text and there then being dead space between the band and the writing.
Signifiers towards band/ genre.
You identify the band as who they are because obviously their logo is the highlight of the poster. This is how most fans recognize the band along with seeing the lead singer. It is funny to me as how Oli is now in line with all the other band members as usually they like to step behind him and not be so focused on. Signifiers to the genre they are in being rebellious are the fact a few of the band members are holding backward peace signs also known for being very rude, this could suggest things about the music the band plays.
Potential Target Audience.
The potential audience for this band are usually known as hardcore kids. This means teens that are tattooed have stretched ears and other such piercings. This would be a stereotypical person at a Bring Me The Horizon show as the band were part of "the scene" a while back and that would be a good definition of a majority of the boys that would show up. Girls would be known for teased hair, extensions, heavy make-up and they could either be really hardcore like the lads or listen to the music but stick to not jumping along with the crowd.
A typical age group for the band is about 14 - 24 or so.
